Hotels Combined does a nice job of searching a fairly large group (over 30) of travel sites, and presenting you with a list of the best prices for hotels that meet your criteria (city, dates, number of guests and number of rooms). You can sort the hotels by popularity or cost, select a hotel, and then select a travel site to book your hotel. We've tried it and so far, we've been pretty impressed.
Discount Hotel Reservations
DHR, which stands for Discount Hotel Reservations, is another hotel site - but not just another hotel site. They offer "rock-bottom rates from a well-known
wholesaler", so if you are looking for a discount hotel, check out DHR.com.
Otel.com
It sounds like Hotel.com, but it's really Otel.com. Otel.com is another hotel search site that comes up with some pretty good deals. They also offer a 5%
cash back loyalty program.
Cheapo Stay
CheapOstay.com guarantees the lowest rates on luxury suites, motels, resorts and inns, last minute hotel deals, 5-star hotels, free hotel upgrades and thousands
of unsold hotel rooms.
Vacation Home Rentals

Hotels.com is another travel site where you can look for hotel discounts. They also offer various weekly specials.

Looking for a deal? "Get a room, Get a deal" is their slogan at GetARoom.com. Enter your destination city and dates and they will search to see what's
available.
Motel 6
Motel 6 offers the best price of any national chain at more than 1,000 company-owned and franchised locations throughout the United States and Canada. They'll
leave the lights on for you. For a little more room, check out their Studio 6 extended stay hotels with fully furnished kitchens.
Super 8
Super 8 is another well-known discount hotel chain, with over 2100 properties worldwide, offering consistently clean rooms (at least that's what they say) and a
free SuperStart breakfast.
Bed and Breakfast
For something a little nicer than your average hotel room, check out BedandBreakfast.com, where you can search the World's Largest Collection of Bed and
Breakfasts. They also offer Bed and Breakfast gift cards - an interesting idea for a unique wedding or anniversary gift.
Trip Advisor
Trip Advisor is a great city for checking out hotels, motels, or other resorts BEFORE you stay there. Their site includes over 30 million trusted traveler
reviews and opinions.
Almost every hotel or resort will have some negative reviews, but we recommend looking at the overall weighting of the reviews (from Excellent to Terrible), the percentage of travelers who recommend (or do not recommend) the hotel, and the TripAdvisor Traveler rating; we usually also read some of the "terrible" reviews, just to get a feel for how bad it might be.
